Tammy Weiss is a visual artist and dancer from London.
Her work includes abstract as well as observational drawing and painting.

The abstract painting process is led by the materials and by the physical act of mark making. Sometimes combining dance and movement whilst painting, the forms emerge spontaneously, unplanned with no expectations or preconceptions. Each mark is highly personal, sometimes hesitant or uncertain, sometimes dynamic, joyous and life affirming.

Observational drawing is key to visual creativity. It is also a meditation, and the forms discovered in observational drawing interact with the abstract work. Life drawing, portraits, and botanical observations are key subjects.

Extended travels in India exposed the artist to vibrant colour combinations and intricate patterns, which are evident in the work as well.
